Two years after I first built the Kalin Builders site on Concrete5, I updated the site to WordPress and packed it full of SEO.
Kalin Builders are a small but forward-thinking bunch who identified the opportunity to expand their business with minimal effort by means of an online presence. For a relatively small one-off cost to stand up the site, plus a very manageable ongoing hosting cost, why not put yourself out there?
Although there’s a modest amount of content on the site, its purpose is clear: attract people looking for a builder in the Christchurch / Canterbury area, and get in touch. The new site has clear calls to action to drive conversion, and auto-generated meta data to give a little extra boost on the SEO front. The result: since the new site went live, there’s been a 16.5% improvement on pages browsed per session, indicating better engagement; and an 11.4% increase in the proportion of new users visiting the site, indicating that the site is pulling in new customers, compared to the previous year.
Along with a fresh new look, these results have kept the team at Kalin pretty happy (and busy!).
